Last Leaf

There are two friends Sue and Johnsy.They have common studio where they live and paint.Once there was a sudden cold wintery day.One of them caught in phenumonia in that wintery day.It was Johnsy who smitten in that fever.She has one-in-ten chance to live.There was an old ivy vine outside of her window.As she counts each day of her existance with the falling leaves.She begins to believe that she will die on the day the last leaf falls.In despair Sue turns to Behrman,a failed painter who lives on the ground floor ,beneath them.Behrman,although having caught pneumonia himself,paints the last leaf on the wall and gives back to Johnsy her will to live.He dies the same day in hospital,having been ill only two days.
